This gown is brand new, with tags, but has been tried on a few times. It is in brilliant shape, with no indication of having been tried on or imperfections, other than a few very slight pulls on the flutter sleeves by the zipper in the back; this is something a seamstress may be able to remedy, but it's so slight it is hardly noticeable and impossible to even see in the pics, (though I took several from different angles to try to show it!) It's been in our bridal storage so is a little wrinkled from being hanging in a bridal bag, and it doesn't fit the mannequin right, but I think it still represents ok! Also!! This mannequin is a "regular' size for a mannequin (bridal standard size 8), but this gown, the way it's cut, and the way the sleeves came in at the waist, make the mannequin look like a bridal size 0. It's so shapely and flattering that most people who have bought this gown from us have also found it unbelieveably slimming to the waist (we have ordered a number of these for formal, MOB and bridesmaids events)! It is such a gorgeous fit on!!
The size chart for this gown is much more generous than regular bridal sizing; The Alyce size chart indicates that the measurements of this size 8 gown are; 38 inch bust, 31 inch waist, and 42 inch hip.(It's clipped in to cinch it a bit in the back in the pics, it's slightly big on the mannequin). Please keep in mind that ALL bridesmaid/formal gowns require altering, as they are made for very tall, very large-breasted women, and it's the alterations that give that million-dollar fit! Most people require a hem, and this dress is one of the longest styles in the shop! And usually they need adjustments around the bust and straps to give a perfect fit! This is the case with all designer gowns. This gown can easily be taken in 2 sizes (and whether a seamstress takes it in 1/4 of an inch, or 2 inches, the cost is usually the same), and can be let out a bit as well.
